What exactly Google News has been doing so far? It displays snippets from different news sources and then sends visitors to the website where the news has been published. No more brokering! Google decided to buy content from The Associated Press in August 2007 and now the Google-AP fusion is live! News items are put on http://ap.google.com/article/, though no home page is still allotted.

w3guru-India speculates that as news items are now being displayed on Google’s own page, they can display Ads with News items. Google News has not been displaying any sponsored results or relevant ads so far. So more revenues from Ads.

Google can also tie up with more news sources in future, like cnn.google.com, uni.google.com, w3guru-india.google.com and so on. Let’s hope for the best.
