The penetration of Internet in India being high, the biggies have started recognizing Indian festivals. It’s obviously a part of business networking and relationship building. The post “Orkut wishes Happy Diwali to all its members” has illustrated how Orkut, one of the popular social networking websites in India, has wished Indians on Diwali.

Now, Yahoo! is not lagging behind. Yahoo! India interface is showing dazzling candle images and animated fireworks. Yahoo! has wished Happy Diwali in the perfect Yahoo! way – the Yahoo! logo at the top-left corner has been modified for Diwali; as it is usually done during any special events and festivals.

AOL is also up to celebrate Diwali. They have added a nice candle icon beside their logo on AOL India home page.

Hence, it is clear that Internet Marketers has understood how prospective Indian market is. All the major search engines are supposed to give each other a tight fight here in India and it seems they all are ready for the battle.

Happy Diwali once again!
