Ranking effect of Web page change on Google

Wednesday, November 7th, 2007 | Internet with No Comments »

The ranking of the page is influenced by the frequency of the page and its content change. The algorithm of Google tries to differentiate between the superfluous and literal content change. If the change of your web page is small, it won’t effect too much on search ranking. But if you change content for new search terms or re-design your web page then SEs might re-calculate your ranking.

For changed web pages google has a filter, which it applies temporarily to your web sites. Google’s algorithm possible takes in consideration the following changes of web page changes:

1) Frequency of your web page changes,

2) Quantity of the change,

3) Change in the keyword density

What should you do?

If your web page is already in high search ranking then you must take lot of care while changing it.
