Twitter has started rolling the List feature. This will allow users to manage their followers in a smart way. One can Create Lists, Add Followers in the Lists, Make the lists Public OR Private etc. etc. Add Followers to a List function is not available yet.

Users can Edit/Delete existing Lists. Public Lists created by a user can be viewed at:
http://twitter.com/username/listname; one can follow Public Lists created by others. Here is such a List created by Twitter Team:

Twitter List is not yet available to all; this feature will make Twitter more usable. Let’s see when it goes live for all.
